Is Reiki a religion?

Reiki is a natural system of healing, spiritual in nature and not a religion and is not dependent upon any belief that it will work.  It complements other forms of healing and philosophies of the unity of mind-body-spirit and promotes harmony and balance.

What are the Treatment costs?

All animals are treated in their own homes or environment. Larger animals are usually around 1 hour sessions, smaller animals are usually around 30 mins this varies depending on how well they accept the Reiki.

As timing of treatments can vary I charge for my time with you and not the actual treatment.

• Half an hour is £25.00
• One hour is £40.00

These costs cover travel in the Kendal area – appointments outside of Kendal may incur small additional fuel costs, please call for a quote. Appointments are charged by the time spent at the treatment.

Payments must be made at the time of appointment and by cash, PayPal or cheque.

Legalities

Reiki must be used in Accordance with section 27 of the Veterinary Surgeons act 1966 and chapter 19 of the supporting guidance for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons code of conduct for Veterinary Surgeons. (See RCVS website). The Healing of animals by contact healing, the laying on of hands or distance healing is legal. The protection of Animals Act 1911 states that if an animal needs treatment from a Vet the owner must obtain this first.

A Reiki Practitioner does not give diagnosis and is very careful not to do so.
